I am curious to hear the music you have been creating or even just working on. We can all give tips and share!

Well, a lot of songs coming since I'm about to participate 50/90 this year (http://fiftyninety.fawmers.org/), but here are some of the older ones...

Singing is pretty far out in some of these. Very Happy Viewer discretion is advised.

I like Trust, The words of daybreak (Neat acoustic stuff), What I understand is very nice piano (the vocal reminds me of that DT singer some lol), What is that odd instrument in True Vision? Sounds like a vocal sample and reminds me of the fool on the hill from the Beatles some, The space junk one is relaxing.

I would see most of this stile lending itself well to soundtrack/scoring once refined. If you are going for the standard radio thing (doesn't seem like it) you should get to the meat or hook of the songs quicker.

Ascending into Chaos has a really neat bit-reduced timbre starting at 39 seconds!!! I like the rhythm alterations and the melodic choice to be out there as well. This reminds me of one I did a while back called "time shift" I never released. Interesting use of depth and space in the mixing side of things for sure. Around three minutes it starts to remind me of the music for Labyrinth while the girl is running some lol. It is that drum part. Zappa like harmonies come in right after it there. Very very creative! I bet this could sound really outstanding with a higher fidelity recording of the instruments. Really fun listen!

My Imaginary Brain is tough to pin down a rhythm on. I was feeling 7/8 phrasing over 3/4 and then some 9/8 perhaps. I like 4th harmonies on guitar a lot like that. I usually tap them both with the right hand and pull of to the next note with its 4th as well. It has a similar sound as processed harmony of a 4th when done right. Another super creative one where the timbre of the harmony section is really cool and how it plays along with the lead. This also makes me think Zappa.

Disintegrating Moon is headache inducing because of the high frequency portion in there. I am hearing some reversed sounds. I like the use of strong intentional phrasing using oddball note choices. That weird guitar tone (or minor 2nds) is awesome in the section from 2:23 to 2:36.

Nice and interesting stuff! Thanks for sharing.

It's some preset found from my keyboard. I think I played around with the cutoff and resonance somewhat. I can't really remember which one it was. Some sort of windpipe? Very Happy

Yeah, not really, but I figured that even in these more stranger songs you can really tell if they're working or not.
