As the topic says. Is there or should there be a limit to the amount of exercises we have on our speed chart? Right now I'm only really looking at two: Rudiment 1 and, I guess the G Major Scale. Should the warmup exercises (or certain ones) have a place on our grand-master speed chart?

I guess this question is more specifically for ROBOT

Good question, I used to put as many as I could fit that I was working on. There is no real reason to limit it besides the logical amount you are able to handle within one average practice. However, if you work on different practice routines you should also keep track of every exercise anyway. This may mean using more poster-board or keeping a log on the computer.

You just gave me a neat idea. I might make a section on this forum to allow students to chart their progress daily on their exercises. This way we can all notice progress and it is a good place to save it and check every practice!

I used to chart the BPM progress of my warmups and treated them as exercises. The only catch there is that you really need to make sure you use them as a warmup firstly and then try to take them up in speed once you are warmed up.
